FBI Special Agent in Charge, Weysan Dun, Springfield Division, announced that Laveda Brown was arrested at approximately 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, 01/13/2007, in East St. Louis, with the assistance of the Washington Park Police Department and the East St. Louis Police Department. Brown, age 24, was previously indicted, on 10/18/2006, by a federal grand jury in East St. Louis for the robbery of the Olin Credit Union, 3553 College Avenue, Alton, Illinois, on 06/16/2006.

Brown is expected to appear in the United States District Court, East St. Louis, Illinois, today.

Members of the public are reminded that all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
