The attendees are exposed to the various programs and responsibilities of the FBI, including:

  • International and Domestic Terrorism;
  • Counterintelligence;
  • Cyber Crime;
  • Public Corruption;
  • Civil Rights/Hate Crimes;
  • Criminal Enterprises/Organized Crime;
  • White Collar Crime;
  • Violent Crime/Drugs;

In addition, the graduates were afforded a look at the Undercover Program, Evidence Response Team, and Behavioral Sciences.

The 2006 Citizens’ Academy, held at the Springfield FBI office, consisted of seven sessions, which began on October 04, 2006. Today’s final session was held at the Springfield Police Department firing range and included a SWAT demonstration.

SAC Dun appreciates the Citizens’ Academy participants’ time and attention over the last seven weeks and looks forward to maintaining a strong, long lasting partnership between the FBI and the community that we serve.
